Jacy Johnson

Jacy Johnson has served as Associate Vice President for Strategic Relations and Communications for Iowa State University since July of 2019. She is responsible for conceptualizing, planning and directing strategic efforts to advance the institution.

Previously, Jacy served in several marketing and communication roles with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. In her ten plus years with Extension and Outreach, Jacy served as Director of Advancement from 2012 to 2019, Assistant Director of Communications and External Relations from 2011 to 2012, and as Strategic Relations Manager from 2008 to 2011.

Before joining ISU Extension and Outreach, she served as Assistant Vice President at Marsh, in West Des Moines, Iowa. She also has worked as a marketing, sales and project manager for Wells Fargo Financial in Des Moines, and as a product manager for Perfection Learning, Inc. in West Des Moines. She has additional experience owning and operating retail and consulting businesses, as well as in data marketing and analytics, and business development positions.

Jacy received her bachelor's degree in marketing and international business from University of Northern Iowa, and her MBA from Iowa State University.
